Works great, easy to clean and catches fine particles. We use it for our outdoor carp pond. Once around the pump basket to keep the pump running and not clogging, and at the end of the hose to filter a second time before the water returns to the pond. Highly recommended.

I have a fish pond with a small waterfall. The water tank has a filter connected to a pump, from which water flows onto the rocks. There is a filter medium, but larger. If I don't add a layer of this stuff my pond will get dirty. This material catches dirt and debris and keeps my pond crystal clear!

This filter media is perfect. I cut a few pieces (slice) to fit my waterfall tub. The water is pumped through the filter media and fills the tub before being pushed back into my pond. It catches all the small debris and "garbage" floating in the water. Noticeable difference within a few hours. I rinsed the filter out with a hose and put it back in the tub. Never thought it would work, but it works!

I cut this material to fit a 12 x 12 filter powered by a Tetra pump. I change it depending on the circumstances and am very satisfied. I've included some photos to show you what he collects, the filter and Goldie, who spends the winters indoors, in 100 gallons. Reservoir and summer outside, in her 400 gallon pond, 8 x 4. This filter medium is ideal for removing fine particles from the water in my carp pond. I've been using it since July, I wash it every week. It has withstood being doused with a strong spray perfectly. You can see in the picture all the dirt it has picked up and how clean it gets after spraying. When it eventually wears out I will return to buy more. And now it's my choice when I need more filter thread for my aquariums. Great product and works exactly as you would expect.

I did not like that I had to wait 7 days for its arrival and that it came folded instead of rolled up as in the photo. However, this is a good product! I used very little in my sump and canister filter and it still filters, I cleaned it once. I've been buying the pink and white brand for 2 years thinking I'd get a deal and go to her like crazy. Huge reel for the price, I have a carp pond 5 by 6 feet about 3 feet deep with 2 pumps going into 2 waterfalls on each side and my pond was very green and full of mud after a year of me cut the filter to fit my pump and wrapped it around each pump and used strong thick rubber bands to ensure it stays in place and my pumps are working much better now. Very impressed! The price is very good, especially for my needs, I have enough for a while before I need more. I cut the filter media to the size needed to wrap around the pond filter. The pond was in poor condition and it helped clear the floating debris in the water. I spray the filter every morning, it's been almost a week and it's in good condition. Several people have asked how to get rid of green algae in carp ponds. The filter material helps with this. Here's how: Cut a few squares of filter material off the roll (using normal scissors). These should match the length and width of the inside of the skimmer/pump box.
