Good idea, but poorly implemented. Owl with the letter B Eagle with the letter e (instead of soft sound) Inkwell with the letter i. (completely archaic) N for laptop, but there was F for flying laptop (mixed tone). The image was a mixture of realistic characters and cartoon characters. Do not buy if you are trying to teach basic reading skills

These little cards are great! The only problem is that the pens that come with it don't have caps and leaked in the plastic bag I soaked the cards in overnight! They either need to be emptied each time after use (probably won't) or kept separate from the cards when not in use. Aggravating. Simple hats will solve the problem. Otherwise an excellent product.

We bought these as a Christmas present for our 2 year old almost 3 year old because she loved her little books - same style fold out beds. They are convenient to take with you in the car and you don't have to worry about cleaning as you only deal with water. If I had a suggestion it would be to create an end cap for the pen to attach the pen to the letter and number ring when not in use.

These cards are great for my 4 year old! She loves using them and loves to fill her little pen with water to trace the letters. The water holds up pretty well and doesn't leak as I expected. I just wouldn't leave a pen with water in it. We are working on the letters and it really helps my little one focus. The quality could be better as the place where the "magic" happens is scratched with fingernails. The cards themselves are thick card, but we've had them since Christmas and are holding up…
