Good for my purposes

I don't know how they work for a production shop but for the woodworking enthusiast they do a great job. I used them as a support for a 12 foot lap cut. Expect more uses in the future. Much easier than dragging his wife to the store as an assistant.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Not very good with power tools and hand tools

Not the best quality considering the price. This reel was tricky to assemble (the two mounting nuts at the top are very close together) and the two legs do not sit straight resulting in the unit not sitting straight. Feet slide too easily on the floor. It would be better if it cost $25 not $60.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Almost never

Every table saw needs it!

I am 73 years old, I am a landlord. I make several closets and have had trouble holding and controlling long cuts. I chose this one and the price was good. I wish I had it a long time ago. It's like having a helper when cutting long pieces. If you have a table saw, you really need it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

If it were better I wouldn't buy it again.

Very cheap product, not a heavy product. Every time I (carefully) tighten the knob to the correct height, the screw leaves a mark on the metal. When I (carefully) tightened the two caster assembly bolts, the metal bent slightly thanks to cheap tack welding. I'm sure this product won't last that long on me.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are defects

Manufacturing Defect

The stand was manufactured with a significant defect. The curved cuts that should line up with the bottom of the round tube did not match, resulting in a non-square assembly (see image). The stand could not stand on a flat surface without rocking. I decided to return it and buy a competitor brand. I'm so glad Revain has a hassle free returns program.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons

Go to a big box or somewhere other than a place that only sells this.

Okay, first the little rubber protector ripped and just fell off. I can bear it - my shop floors are covered with 1" thick rubber mats. The next thing I notice is that the rod you use to control the height is a channel piece with a flat piece of metal welded right into the U-channel and measures about 1/8". The roller bar attaches with two #8 or #10 screws. I don't care which one. They're still too small. Also, the support attached to the vertical bar needs to be deeper than others ( eg use…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Nice features, versatility

Update 10/14/2020 After writing the review and update below I was contacted by the company. They asked for my address and sent me another block. Collected and tested today. I don't have a "hard" roller that made me think there weren't any ball bearings. It looks more like the first block got stuck because of the tight plastic bushing at the end of the reel. Another issue I had with the first block was a failed weld on the nut that the height adjustment knob threads into, see photo. under. This…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
