Don't buy with anything else

Great product, don't be fooled by Porter cable products. I complain that you can't put Finishing Nails in one big bag. Every damn box was opened and I had nails everywhere. I'm mad because I have to sort the nails now. Thank you for using common sense when shipping goods.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Porter Cable Nails - Fasteners

Well, that was interesting. Stick a bunch of these nails in your gun and you're going to be in trouble. If I drive in a whole row after hammering in 2-3 nails, it gets stuck. Upon opening you will find that the row of nails is broken in half and slides over each other. But if you break the row in half, there's no problem.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • high price

Great set for beginners!

Great starter kit! I just bought a set of pneumatic tools and wasn't sure what sizes I would need for different projects. This set was great as it comes in different sizes to fit everything I need. There are 300 of each variety, which sounds like a lot for a beginner, but they run out very quickly. So make sure you know which size fits you and order more!

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Expandable

Not as described with fasteners removed

Illustration and description are incorrect. Instead of 5/8 inch stud nails, you actually get 3/4 inch nails. Had to place a separate order to get the 5/8" staples needed for the job. To update. I don't think the problem lies with the seller. I checked the porter cable site and they show two different descriptions for this one product number. be a porter cable problem, not a seller problem.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost everything OK

Receiving Packages in Small Pieces

I received a package that was made up of several smaller packages with nails and the packages had already disintegrated before I received them. The nails were scattered all over the bag. This makes it very difficult to load the nailer. I'm not sure if this is a seller or packaging issue. However, a potential customer should be aware that trying to load a nail gun after receiving those nails can potentially suck.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Inaccurate product description.

Please note that although the product description states that the smallest box size is 5/8 inch, the smallest nails are actually three quarters of an inch when you receive the box. I specifically needed 5/8. I already had other sizes and only ordered this for 5/8" (which despite the description doesn't include it). So ordering this product was a waste of time.
