I bought this to get rid of the ugly antenna that came with the Ford Fusion. It was more for looks than anything else and to me it looks and fits well. The reception suits me, I haven't tried it in the city, I haven't tried it in the country, in any case I use Sirus Radio 99%, I'm happy with it.😃

The first impression seemed to be very big but I got it because I'm not used to it. Traction was poor because the antenna did not fully conform to the curvature of the roof. Wanted to get rid of that huge antenna mast but didn't want a tooling solution. This matched my old base perfectly, but I used two strips of tape to keep the wire inside in front of the spool. The spool is somewhat unnecessary as it just takes up more space, but if you know your way around, just do what the other reviewers have done and change the wire to your liking, or even just a bit of tape like I did . The appearance of this unique shark fin antenna is rated a 5+ but most of the key design features of the product need improvement. The screws that attach the base to the case are too short for a secure hold. The screws cannot be tightened enough as they enter the case with less than 2 threads that barely dig into the case's plastic hubs and then break out with very little torque.
