Not being a beginner, I needed something that would easily connect to my surround speakers and not be too heavy.

Bought for my surround back speakers. The arrangement of the room required laying cables under the carpet of a large area. 14G is almost invisible. 16G would be even thinner but I run a lot of watts through the system so I went with 14.

I don't know why everyone hates it because it's copper clad aluminum it's a goddamn speaker wire. I would be more concerned about my power and ground being pure copper than speaker wire. It's pushing my 18s like a champ. No complaints here.

If you have a serious dollar system, you probably need copper wire with a soldered end. I hooked up small bookshelf speakers to a 100-watt Sony built-in amp so I could play my albums and burn them to CD. Works great for me.

Extremely disappointed I was expecting real copper not copper clad especially non copper clad aluminium, personally copper is without a doubt a much better conductor than aluminium. I'll read the fine print and hopefully I can return it and buy real copper speaker wire, either from this company or from Revain Select, at least Revain's 14 gauge copper speaker wire is real copper, not junk aluminum.
