Unusable in handheld games as supplied

Does not include a sensor pen although it should have. A very disappointed child looking forward to using it straight away.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

VERY RETRO and a bit overpriced

I think it's overpriced at $35 since it's 2020 and most people will only be playing on their phones. However, this seller has them on E-Bay for $29.99. Even at $30 it's still a bit overpriced in my opinion but if you like old school handheld games (like me) you can get by with it as the game works really well and includes checkers connecting four, 20 Chess levels and 100 chess problems. Bottom line, I don't regret my purchase.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Very expensive

Highly Recommended: Games and Accessories

It was a shock. Thought it would be handy to throw it in the bag to keep in practice. I didn't expect a serious opponent! !This little guy has twenty levels and even in the first level he's deceptively good! I've been playing chess for over fifty years and this is one piece of equipment that doesn't care how well you hold up. You can handle this little thing. Runs on two AAA (AAA) batteries and consumes very little power so you don't need to carry a battery bag with you. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Speed

If you play with black, you must play them upside down.

Advantages 1. LED backlight function to see the whole board. (No other LCD game has this) 2. A tune will play after the game. 3. Has a 50 move rule. Cons 1. You need a screwdriver to insert the batteries. (What happened to the simple finger clip that snaps?) 2. NO three move rule. 3. *NOT WORKS TO TURN BOARD!* (That's what they failed. Neither the board nor the pieces are flipped, if you want that you have to do what's shown in the pictures! Also, the board or notation gives es Justice 4 hadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Clarity

That's a lie! (sometimes)

I only know the basics of chess and I was hoping this would help me progress. And it's possible, but it's not a good sign when software as complex as a chess program has bugs in the basic moving mechanism! Normally everything is fine, but I tried to play library game 2 (there are 100 saved chess middle games/endgames). I beat him with white and thought I would try playing with black. I wanted to lose and then White moved the king and it became a pawn! Then the pawn went up and became the thirdโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Minor problems
