Great knives!

I carve a lot of wood (caricatures, ornaments, etc.). I use FlexCut, Morakniv, Ramelson, Robert Sorby and other woodcarving brands. I was very surprised by the quality of the Power Grip brand. The blades are strong and sharp. They stay sharp for a long time. Leather straps and composition (usually green is sufficient). I find they are easy to sharpen as well. The handles are very comfortable, not hanging out like some brands. I believe beginners should always start with quality and affordable…

Pros
  • Overall tool length 5 1/4", blade length 1 1/4".
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good quality but VERY SMALL. Not what I expected

I wanted to start woodcarving to expand my woodworking business. I mainly do woodwork and projects and someone asked if I could make them a hand carved sign for their cabin. I've always been interested in woodcarving, so I said I'd see what I could do. I needed a basic set so I could practice before spending a lot of money on a good set. I thought this would be a good start, but they have such small chisel heads that I really don't think I could use them for anything other than maybe tiny wood…

Pros
  • Set includes 3 chisels, V-tool and skew chisel
Cons
  • Rosette required

and the quality is not bad compared to some other chisels available

I don't normally write product reviews but I think I should as I have a second one Couple buy as gifts. I would say they lasted a long time and the quality is not bad compared to some other notches available. I would say if you use them properly and take good care of them they are great tools, especially for the price. I follow several engravers on Instagram and find that more and more people are buying these special cuts and using them for their woodcuts and linocuts. It is on par with Flexcut

Pros
  • Small tools are good for carving details
Cons
  • Not bad but...
