Lifeguard for finding electrical problems on my boat

This is a great tool and I don't know how I survived without it for so long. Before I knew about this tool, I used an ohmmeter and special wires and clamps to get to the remote parts of the car and it took so long to track down electrical shorts or open circuits. I can find faulty electrical wires or faulty electrical parts in 1/3 the time. I can apply direct current to an electrical device with the flick of a switch. Perhaps the best way to understand all the different ways to use this tool is

Must have: Electrician

I bought this after my fake current probe got covered in dust. Looks very high quality even though it is made in China. It has a very long power cord that turns off. The tip is also removable for storage. These items are a must have when troubleshooting electrical problems in cars, class 8 trucks or watercraft. You save a lot of time because you can switch on individual components, test relays and check continuity. I love that the "3" power probe has a voltage readout so it can be used as a…

Money well spent! on electrics

Yes, it's a bit expensive. But the real value lies in the ability to provide power (or ground) to the device under test. Like a lightbulb in a car. It's fast. quickly! opportunity to identify the problem. By default, the probe works as a voltmeter. But it's the ability to power or ground the device that's crucial in finding a problem. That's money well spent. By the way, this particular model of Power Probe does not come with a storage case. But for $9, Caseling makes a case called the…

Excellent long lasting product, recommended

Bought this product a long time ago, the power sensor is one of the best electrical diagnostic tools. You can't go wrong with purchasing this tool, its lifespan depends on usage and usage errors. I had to buy a pair and use them every day at work which makes my job as a professional diagnostics easier as the voltmeter, continuity meter, circuit activation was my first, one my colleague borrowed that blew due to stress on the circuit . . Therefore, life depends on use and mistakes during use…

good tool, bad documentation and support

I'm glad I bought this tool but I wasted quite a lot of time due to poor documentation and videos. Probably more than I will ever use this tool. When I first used it, I was able to find a problem in the headlight switch that I didn't even know existed. I was able to figure out which of the terminals on the headlight was power and which was ground and test the light by applying power without removing the bulb, so that was cool. If I were a professional mechanic, I would understand that this…
