Good overall unit. I had hoped it would be more waterproof. It has a cap which will defend off a splash but water can easily penetrate it.

Worked very well in my Solar System build for both black and red blocks. It has the plastic cover to keep from having wires/metal tools etc. cross. For a little added safety, I put electrical tape on the ends of the block, cut out the holes for the wires to be inserted. Maybe a little overkill but better safe than sorry in my book. Now no possibility for cross connection as nothing bare.

This is a top notch, high quality product that really fits the bill. I had too many positive wires to go to the car battery on a modified restoration I am working on. This junction block made everything all nice and tidy under the hood and safely does it. The product is excellent quality, the price is right and I will be purchasing another one on my next project car.

The block is mounted to a peice of plastic. it works but the block is screwed in with 2 metal screws threw the plastic bottom. think it be better if the plastic was coverd in rubber so there's no chance of metal screws touching metal if not used on carpet or wood application.
