I was surprised - wrench

I didn't know about the flex beam torque wrench until I found this at Revain. I used it to test the accuracy of my other snap-on torque wrench. I was satisfied with the accuracy and the good clicking sound. I see this type of torque wrench as an improvement over the traditional bar type torque wrench and an alternative to the click type as it seems less prone to loss of calibration. I'll see how it works in the long run, but for now I'm happy.

Pros
  • Torque range: 20 ft/lbs to 220 ft/lbs
Cons
  • unreliable

Fantastic design; don't know why it's not as common

The only downside to this torque wrench is that it is not a ratchet. However, I think this is by far the best design if you don't want to regularly calibrate a click torque wrench. Super durable, looks well made and high quality and comes with a nice case. It's VERY nice to hear an audible/tactile click when the specified torque is reached. Also, the torque range of this thing is huge, making it very versatile. Overall I would say this is the real deal. I have no idea why this type of torque…

Pros
  • Audible and visible torque settings make it ideal for use in noisy workshops
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Fantastic design and finish

After seeing Eric with his car on YouTube I searched for the same torque wrench. I'm NOT the "follow the leader” guy on fancy tools and I did some research. Why would you choose it over a traditional bar torque wrench or a clicker torque wrench? Clicker type calibration loss over time This is the best combination of two types of devices with significantly longer intervals between the required calibrations, but always still audible click of a traditional torque wrench. Overall, the product is…

Pros
  • 1/2" drive

  • Some little things
