Loud, but not for large rooms

Noise level acceptable for a plug-in, but perhaps not so obnoxious as to really scare off intruders unless the room is small.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons

Works but not as expected

Nice and loud. Easy to set up. For some reason, this siren sounds when the alarm unit emits a sound like a confirmation tone. Very annoying.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Loud and reliable on horns and sirens

I have two of these. They're very loud and thankfully never "stuttered" (on or off) like some X-10 hardware can. One is in a detached garage a fair distance from the alarm panel it signals and is still working properly. The one in the garage is also easily exposed to the Canadian winter temperatures.

well it works, yes it's quite noisy but: there is a 5 second delay when the alarm goes off, it's not instantaneous. While not particularly important, it's a little annoying if you don't know it's happening when you test it. Placement: For some reason the horn will not work if it is more than about ten feet away from the base's actual alarm system. I don't know if this is due to the base station using a radio frequency to mute the audio signal or if it is a signal sent down the ground wire of…
