Save time and buy them in advance

I literally tried using quarter inch extensions before they came out because I was in the hospital but I worked so well and they worked great

The right tool or piece of wooden dowel is up to you.

I like using the right tool for the job and didn't want to use wooden dowels. The tool fits well and I am confident in using it.

Too thick to fit driver's side, just buy straight metal brake line instead.

Purchased to replace the camera in a 2011 Silverado 5.3. The passenger side kicked in immediately. The driver's side didn't go in. The dowel was too thick and didn't fit. I ended up buying a straight piece of brake line, a little thinner, and it works a lot better and a lot cheaper. Not worth the money.
