💪 POWERTEC 70179 Y-Fitting, 2-1/2", Black - High-Performance and Durable Y-Fitting for Optimal Airflow Review

The quality is good. Thickness is ok. The inlet size is ok but the two outlets are too big except for the hose from my Ridged vacuum.

Purchased for use with a dust collector and shop vacuum with 2 1/2" hose fittings. This will not work without tape as this fitting is too large for a standard 2 1/2 industrial vacuum hose. Disappointing!

Not happy that I have to find a way to connect my shop's vacuum hoses. To update. Can't find anything that fits inside or outside unless I've spent $$$ on a carpenter's rubber tie. Wouldn't buy again. Should have trusted the reviews.

This item will NOT fit the hose it should have. This is NOT the connector it should have. I have 3 Bought one piece to make it smaller Hose is 4 1/2" to 2 1/2" and all need fittings Friction end is useless Powertech mislabels/misrepresents its products We are sending all today 3 items back.

Very disappointing! I thought Powertec was a quality brand but none of my 2-1/2" hoses fit any of the three ports. I also have a collection of male and female adapters and none of them fit. Sloppy quality control? The standard for 2.5 dust fittings is a nominal 2-1/2" outside diameter and 2-1/4" inside diameter. This fitting is 2-7/32" ID and 2-15/32" OD. This. normal internal connectors do not go through and normal male connectors do not go in.

I ordered various Powertec couplers and a large dust cap to make a dust cap/collection system for my table saw. I deliberately ordered all products from the same brand to avoid problems with the choice. Unfortunately nothing fits my vacuum cleaner hose or inlet. Sometimes the specified joint diameter is the outside diameter, sometimes the inside diameter. Is it really that difficult to include both the inner and outer diameters in the product description?
