💨 Enhanced Dust Collection Kit for Three Machines - POWETEC 70200 2-1/2" Review

I have to say I'm really tired of manufacturing companies talking about 2 1/2 inch systems. It's not for 2 1/2" hose or PVC pipe. You have to use rubber couplings, kind of like hitting a target. Unfortunately they don't allow no star ratings. I'm so disappointed. How about if the Do manufacturers tell customers what is additionally needed to install a 2 1/2" PVC or vacuum hose system?

Tor is terrible, won't work with 2 1/2" PVC. Do yourself a favor and just buy hardware at a hardware store and assemble it yourself. I took I took the time to mold all the PVC to work with the hardware provided.Shortly after commissioning the blast gate wouldn't close and I had to disassemble the unit for cleaning.Not worth the maintenance.I'll be back.

1. This worked fine as long as you get the retail recommended 2 1/2 hose. People need to understand that the 2 1/2 end of your industrial vacuum is the same diameter as them, so you can't hook them up directly without a dust hose. The blast gate works great and I only had an issue when the back of the blaster was blocked to prevent suction through it. I haven't had to clean them yet after cutting a bit.

I'm starting a new workshop and have decided to use 2.5" fittings for most of the dust collection parts. then I have a long barrel that I can move to clean the floor or reach for the drill or table saw. With a transparent flexible PVC hose everything fits well and has sufficient suction. The dampers work well and there isn't any noticeable Air Leak Through Closed Gate This has been a good starter kit so far and I have a few extra clamps left for future adjustments.

SAVE this product! This has nothing to do with the processing quality. It's well made and the clips are great, size is the issue! NO pipes are connected to it. NO PVC or ABS. 2.5" is NOT common! And thin or thick walls don't matter. I couldn't find a pipe to climb over or into the holes of these pipes and blast gates! Decent kit. Bought two to outfit my shop. Most kits work very well. The only issue I had was with the blast gates, so only 3 stars. They usually collect fine dust in the corners, which means every week or two I have to disconnect the hoses from the gate, remove them from the fasteners, and then use the L-shaped cleaning tool I made. I found this set to be very valuable, but like other people who left this review, I had similar issues with sawdust clogging the dampers. After about 20 cross cuts on my table saw, I found that I could only close the blast gate about 3/4 of the way. I had to disassemble all the connections and make a wire tool to clean the inside of the blast gate.
