Difficult for us when working with hard woods

I have found that when working with very hard woods I have to put some wax paste on the outside of the threads or they tend to crack and damage the work piece .

Pros
  • Threaded Inserts
Cons
  • Expensive

Not as advertised, NOT steel

These are NOT galvanized steel, looks like they are cast iron. Apply too much torque when installing and the hex head will break. I wouldn't recommend using them for anything other than carving really soft woods and handling light loads.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • I will add later

Cheap price cheap quality

This is poor quality. The first went well, the next hex broke just before I could use it. You get what you pay for and unless you want to go to the local hardware store and buy something quality or whatever, at least test it out on a piece of wood before using it so you know if it won't cut it won Don't destroy your project.

Pros
  • Thread Locking Inserts
Cons
  • No
