Mediocre straps, best in ratchet

They are fine. The metal ratchet began to flex in my hand in all four straps the first time I tightened it. Noticeably soft metal. I would recommend tying things that you don't need to tighten very tightly, but not if you want the tightest possible fit.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • not bad

High quality and easy to use!

The best ratchet straps! I use them for many things. Mainly for mounting my Yeti Roadie on the back of my Polaris Sportsman Touring and for mounting gas tanks, bags etc on my ATV trailer. Endless ratchet straps are what you need! I love her! Excellent quality and ease of use.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Basically ok, but...

Holds up great even when I've flown through Moab.

I used this to attach a duffel bag to the back of a motorcycle on a cross-American road trip from New York to Los Angeles. Holds up great even when I was flying at over 160 mph through Utah's Moab deserts; held in the White Knuckle style. I had to throw away most of my gear when I flew back, but I kept that - I chose to keep it for the $80 tent.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Very well done.

I bought these for assembling kayaks. They are way better than the ones that came with my kayak stand. The ratchet mechanism is much stronger. The strap is also sewn very well so it won't fall out of the ratchet. The fabric strap is also a lot thicker than I expected. Thicker than most regular ratchet straps you can buy.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Work very well until they rust.

I bought a set of 4 for my boat a year ago. The straps work perfectly and are easy to tighten and loosen. The little springs are rusting and I expect them to fail at any moment. To be fair, they have been exposed to the elements most of the year, with the occasional taste of salt water. I would definitely recommend these straps for light to moderate activity with occasional contact with water. Stainless steel bands can be considered if left outdoors or used in salt water.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

The knobs are cheaply made and easy to push in

Used them (2 at a time) to secure springs on my Can Am x3 Turbo shocks for which they were specifically recommended. The handles flexed as I pushed on both a little. The release was a bit patchy, but only served its purpose for one spring. I hate seeing the result when I've used it on the 2nd spring and even more so on the remaining 3 that are yet to be done. Threaded it up with my heavier 500# ratchet straps that I already had and cut off both hooks and they didn't bend on the handles. My…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Having trouble

Compressed gas shelf

I had a special need. I had a descent ladder 10 feet off the ground with a failed gas strut. Given the uncomfortable space to work on the replacement, I was afraid that squeezing the rack while pushing it up the stairs (like a trip to the ER or worse) wouldn't be the best idea. I have several ratchet straps but the 15 foot with hook was the shortest I had. However, it was the shortest I could find without a catch. I attached one end of the new post to the ladder and then wrapped it around the…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
