PPbean Classic Pocket Camping Compass Review

Terrible. The golden part is ok. The paper below is fine. No directional arrow attached or packaged. It looks like an unfinished product. There is a round plastic insert that has no NSEW or grades around it. Return not possible due to "policies".

Works well. I just got it and haven't been able to use it often, but it's a compass, not sophisticated technology. Although the metal case is thin. Super thin and it seems like if you take the time to close it, you can bend it and can't close it again without straightening it with pliers or something. I don't think you should expect more for the price.

Despite the reviews I decided to give it a try as it wasn't too much money. Well I should have heeded the warning in the review. It's not exactly as advertised because it doesn't glow in the dark and looks pretty cheap. Dissatisfied and disappointed. I'm too nervous to take this campsite as I don't feel I can rely on it when I go camping. Buy at your own risk and don't have high expectations.

It's cheap and you can't expect much for the price. But even for that price, it's terrible. I got it as a gift for a child, but it's not a gift at all. It came in a cheap cardboard box that was already torn. The compass was covered in dust and had stains on its yellow body. The interior was cheap too. Even for $6 it was bad. You can buy the best toys at Dollar Store. And then I wanted to return it because it says non-refundable even though the part sold says 'acceptable'.

The compass itself works perfectly. The whole device is very similar to a pocket watch, including a ring for a bracelet or chain. However, a few seconds after opening the compass cover and adjusting all moving parts, the ring broke. When I tried to initiate a return for the (now broken) item I was told it was non-refundable. Bought only for the simplest points of the compass. It went wrong. The arrow never seemed to point a steady northward direction. According to this point, north is any direction where the needle stops after turning. When I bought this I knew it wasn't going to be the ultimate compass, but that was partly my intention.
