Inductance values never stabilize. I didn't even bother to see if the capacity tests were done correctly. Apparently this is a common problem with the LC-100A and its clones. If you are ambitious, you can find suggestions online to fix this problem. I don't have the patience to repair BRAND NEW devices myself.

I've been a radio amateur since 1995 and sometimes need inductors for RF projects. I bought this tester so I could wind it myself instead of buying expensive, hard-to-find inductors. It has good range, a basic English display and is USB powered (older and more expensive LCR meters needed new batteries to give good readings). It doesn't come in a case, but we can assemble it ourselves and it works better than LCR counters that cost four times as much.

Works as advertised. I bought it to test the inductance of low impedance fuel injectors. The measurements were tested for accuracy with some 4.7 mH inductors and 68 uF capacitors and showed differences between 1-3% for several samples. The device is fairly easy to use, but it does take a bit of practice calibrating and choosing the right buttons.
