Whatever surface medium they used to prime these sheets is wonderful, however they are super thin and floppy. I only make a note of that because I have other canvas pads that have structure to the pages so that when you work on them, they don't ripple and flop around like a thin piece of fabric. If they had a tiny bit more structure to them (perhaps lining the back of the sheet with a decent pulp paper) they would be absolutely perfect. I suppose that would likely drive the cost up. Finally had a chance today to try this out. What I know:The first sheet in the pad is stuck to the cover of the pad and is unusable.Tearing out a sheet must be done carefully and there will be some lose canvas threads to clean up at the edge.I tried this with both gouache and acrylic and it worked for either, however the canvas has a lot of tooth and your paint has to be just the right consistency for good coverage.I was able to cut this on my old style guillotine paper cutter and still get a…

I am just starting out trialing watercolor after using acrylic for a couple of years, so I am new to how well it works on certain types of paper. These seem to be really good sheets to work with. Watercolor paints seem to be doing well on them, and they are on a good sturdy pad. The paper stands up well to the paint and does not tear easily while painting. So far, I would be willing to get these again in the future.

These canvas pads are really nice, but I wish they were a little bit stiffer. I plan on adding some backing board to them when I pull them from the pad itself. The canvas has a nice texture, and I'm happy to keep using them.

I absolutely love having real canvas as pages in a pad. They’re nice and thick and very quality. I used waterproof stamping ink to stamp the images and then acrylic paint. These are definitely on my wishlist purchase again.

The 12 x 16 is a great size for painting. I paint with acrylics and this canvas paper has worked out great so far. No major warping, the thickness of the paper is ideal and it holds up well to numerous layers of paint. I'm really impressed with the quality of this paper, especially if you plan on selling any of your paintings professionally.

Heavy paper that absorbs the paint beautifully. It tears out from the top easily without ripping. This is as good or better than any watercolor paper I’ve used. Very happy with it

these canvas sheets have medium tooth. used black gesso and sanding to fill it in. wrinkled while wet but flattened when dried. Nice product.

Good quality canvas pads. These are perfect for traveling, but I also use them at home for practice painting or something quick. They don’t bleed and they’re easy to tear off the pad.
