They went in quickly even on a freezing, snowy day!

After struggling for several months with the trunk that did not close well, I replaced them with these and for more than a month they have been working fine.

Just as difficult to install as OEM but much cheaper.

Many reviewers have complained that they are difficult to install and they are right. But the original and branded versions are identical and just as difficult to install. The trick is to pull the clip halfway out. I stuck the tip of a small screw under the clip and screwed it in just enough to fit the bushing onto the ball joint. Then unscrew and voila!

Cons

Arrived in perfect shape. Installed in 2 minutes.

Perfect replacement for my 2007 Hyundai Sonata. I used a small flat head screwdriver to pry open the clips on each end of the old device and then carefully pry each end off. Install the new block by lifting the clips back up on each end, pushing each end into place, and finally pushing each clip in. It takes a minute or two to remove the old one and install the new one for a minute. dead easy. The hood is heavy so using a 2x4 or someone else (better) to hold it open is a must.

Perfect fit, easy installation

I completely rethought the installation process, but once I realized what I was doing wrong, the installation was incredibly easy. Simply open the clips at the top and bottom of the new rack. Find a stick, pole, or something to hold up the hood. Open the clips on your car's strut and remove it from the ball joints at both ends. Install a new one and close the clips. The brace is VERY strong compared to our worn OEM brace which no longer holds the hood. The hood now needs extra force to close…

Pros
  • Lifting Legs
Cons
