Good Parts Best in Spare Parts

There is a bracket on the driver's side of the vehicle that is welded to the original fender strut bracket (holds the harness connector). The wire harness has a clip to remove the wire harness from the bracket. The bracket WON'T want to separate from the rackmount bracket, bent out the crap and had to saw through the welds to get it off. If you want the wiring harness to just "hang" in the corner of the engine bay, you just can't use it.
