Honda Crosstour 2012-2015 Front Hood Lift Supports Shock Struts: A-Premium 2-PC Set Review

2010 Crosstour, they fit perfectly. Spring clip at each end. A small flat head screwdriver to loosen the clip and remove the old one and then just push on the new one. less than 1 minute per rack. Piece of cake!

After watching the video of removing the old legs and then installing the new ones, they appear to work just as well as the original equipment. I only gave 4 stars for durability as it has only been about three weeks since instillation.

Temperatures below zero make shock absorbers unusable after a few years. This is a great replacement and easy to install yourself. The Honda dealership charged $263 just to replace the hood struts and I started laughing at them. Replacing the struts on both good and hatchbacks took less than ten minutes and they are as good as new. I would recommend them.

[Installed on someone else's car] I used a piece of wood to support the hood which was fine but I always thought the hood might fall off my head. I hadn't replaced or installed any hood struts/dampers before, so I was a bit nervous. I used a curved pickaxe to pull back the clips on the ends of the old ones and swap them out.
