I think my colors were old. I say that because they couldn't come out smoothly. They either came out in clumps and ruined my project, or I squeezed them hard and very little came out and then the clump fell out. I've used bold colors in the past and haven't had any issues with them, but these weren't easy to use.

I regret the purchase. I thought we would get a wide range of colors but we just threw random colors in the box. Example: 3 green, 1 pink, 2 blue, 4 red etc. The range of colors you get just doesn't make sense. The texture is not the lint color I remember as a kid. It's harder to extrude paint that comes out thick and bulging than paint that puffs up. Very disappointed but we have already opened a few colors to try and can't go back.

Removing the clear plastic cap from the screw top of each bottle (like contact lens solution bottles) is so difficult that you have to resort to knives and scissors. Be careful with children. We gave up after 6 bottles for the night. Unscrewing the caps can help, but the paint will splatter if you press down to open. After the opening, the parents had to take a break, but the children liked the painting and the variety of colors. $20 for 24 bottles is a good price, but I would pay a lot more…
