8.8 Ford needs shorter cover bolts

The product itself is good but the bolts are too long for the 8.8 body so I had to buy new bolts which wasn't a problem but was still a problem if I paid for the correctness of the screws

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Attention for Fox Platform Mustangs

Looks good, feels solid. This is probably the same piece as the $250 Ford Racing but unengraved. This completed my rear assembly. I use this on 98 Cobra. When your car is low, it makes good contact with the spare tire. I had to return the spring shock absorbers to calm down. After reading about contacting other users it seems that it was designed for the S197 chassis and still works for 79-04 but be aware.

Amazing plating, - transmission and transmission

This plating is no worse than the more expensive ones, just for my own peace of mind I taped the threads with teflon tape and the back of the RTV cover and bolt holes I didn't wanted to run out, yes, and not flow at all. Put this on an '88 Mustang with 8.8. made a rear mount to mount my rear stays which I also got from Revain. It was a very important delivery, there was a problem with the delivery but Revane really took care of me. Thanks Revane๐Ÿ‘ and thanks to all the CS reps I spoke to.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • thin

Great sturdy case!

Very thick, strong, well made cap Painted with silver paint inside and out? :( Aerosol brake cleaner washes it off right away. Leave the inside clean and paint the outside with clear motor paint. Cover the belt bolts with thread sealant and use good quality black or gray silicone in place of the gasket that came with it. Love the flushing and filling Spark plug! Now I can change the fluid without removing the cover! Also the diff belt supports increase the strength of the rear diff which isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

You get what you pay for. Did not fit.

Will not fit my 1996 Ford 8.8 from 1996 f150 4x4. There were small notches on the bottom of the axle through which the cover passed as you can see in the photos. Nothing bad, but weird. The biggest problem was that the supplied screws were too long and protruded all the way before actually pressing the cover against the axle. It also had very cheap aluminum paint on it that had chipped off quite a bit after cleaning the brakes. The paint was inside too so who knows how long it took to peel offโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Beautiful moldings, with drain and drainage hole.

Good cast part, mating surface perfectly flat and smooth. Kit includes gasket, bolts, nuts and washers. The screws may be too long. I say "maybe" for a reason. 1/ First make sure there is no sealant at the bottom of the threaded holes. 2/ Not all differential cases are created equal. Ford began production of the 8.8 in 1981. Because they were made by the millions and adapted to different models, the threaded holes were sometimes a bit shorter. In that case, just put in some washers or replaceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
