That's magic!. but a bit awkward to clean

Right after we cut the first apple, the refrain comes from "Mind Exploded!" It's really amazing to see an apple in less than 2 Seconds is perfectly cut and removed from the core. There are 5 stars for that alone. A few minor downsides should be noted. 1) it doesn't work with giant apples (big Honey Crisps or Granny Smiths. You know, "Costco-Size". 2) it's tedious to peel because of the many edges/corners. We resorted to a quick hot water rinse after each use (daily!) and then tossed it in the…

More difficult to use than PC Slicer

My Pmprd Chf Slicer got rusty so I decided to replace it. It's sharper but harder to focus on the core of the apple. I think maybe because I use small apples and this slicer is quite big so it fits big apples too which will be handy. Instructions don't help when you try to use it for the first time. When slicing the apple, you MUST fold down the bottom of the slicer. The ground should ONLY be adjusted after the apple is 90% cut. At this point, turn it back under the apple and finish slicing…

Wires still taut and intact after 100+ egg cuts

My original reason for purchasing a Prepworks Egg Slicer was because it was one of the few with an egg half separator for making stuffed eggs, but I absolutely love it recommend as the wires hold up well. I've been using this egg slicer daily for over a month and 100+ eggs - and the wires are still taut and undamaged. A big problem with many egg slicers that use cutting wires is that the wires either come loose or break - I bought another product (the Casabella Manual Egg Slicer) and it arrived
