Review on Progressive Prepworks Wedge and Pop Apple and Pear Slicer - 8 Slices, Attached Safety Cover for Finger Protection During Use and Blade Safety in Storage by Jess Chen

Wires still taut and intact after 100+ egg cuts

My original reason for purchasing a Prepworks Egg Slicer was because it was one of the few with an egg half separator for making stuffed eggs, but I absolutely love it recommend as the wires hold up well. I've been using this egg slicer daily for over a month and 100+ eggs - and the wires are still taut and undamaged. A big problem with many egg slicers that use cutting wires is that the wires either come loose or break - I bought another product (the Casabella Manual Egg Slicer) and it arrived with one wire out of ten. where the wire didn't hit the cutting slot and cut the egg) - unlike the wire, the Prepworks egg slicers were very strong. , especially the wedge cutter. I carefully wash the wires by hand rather than using them in the dishwasher, so this may or may not be a reason why the product has held up so well. is that the Prepworks layer cutter is optimized to slice the egg lengthways rather than across, so you end up with egg-shaped slices rather than round slices. --
