Review on Progressive Prepworks Wedge and Pop Apple and Pear Slicer - 8 Slices, Attached Safety Cover for Finger Protection During Use and Blade Safety in Storage by Aaron Martz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's magic!. but a bit awkward to clean

Right after we cut the first apple, the refrain comes from "Mind Exploded!" It's really amazing to see an apple in less than 2 Seconds is perfectly cut and removed from the core. There are 5 stars for that alone. A few minor downsides should be noted. 1) it doesn't work with giant apples (big Honey Crisps or Granny Smiths. You know, "Costco-Size". 2) it's tedious to peel because of the many edges/corners. We resorted to a quick hot water rinse after each use (daily!) and then tossed it in the dishwasher each time it was ready to load. BTW, one side of the edges (the side facing down toward the apple) is pretty sharp. The back (facing you) is darker, like the back of a steak knife), so use caution when washing the core or squeezing it out to empty the tool (I'll pull the core out now so I don't accidentally rub my thumb). cut). ). push through the sharp blades).
