More difficult to use than PC Slicer

My Pmprd Chf Slicer got rusty so I decided to replace it. It's sharper but harder to focus on the core of the apple. I think maybe because I use small apples and this slicer is quite big so it fits big apples too which will be handy. Instructions don't help when you try to use it for the first time. When slicing the apple, you MUST fold down the bottom of the slicer. The ground should ONLY be adjusted after the apple is 90% cut. At this point, turn it back under the apple and finish slicing. This means that all the slices and the core come straight out of the slicer. It's super comfortable. I only took off one star because the apple is hard to balance when slicing (unlike my last slicer) AND they didn't clarify not to put the apple on the bottom of the slicer. That's why people complain about bad design. You just don't know how to use it. I mean, it just takes a little common sense to figure it out, but still.
