Cheap rusty anything but steel

Received yesterday - see photos with original Chinese packaging and product. Do I have to say more? The mesh tea ball is not steel at all. It arrived all rusted and the rust is peeling off. This is cheap quality metal. All that metal rust will poison the tea. I thought it was the Progressive brand that we see at Macy's or Corningware, but please don't be fooled. It's very cheap and made out of tin cans that leak, gather dust and rust. Received yesterday - see photos with original Chinese…

I like a certain brand of loose leaf tea

For a $1 product, it's enough. I love a certain brand of loose tea. Well, I actually like the jasmine green tea that Summit makes, so it's a lot more specific. But anyways, I got this because it was cheap and I needed something to deaerate the tea and didn't have much money to scatter around (and the tea is quite expensive). So I got that. And in the beginning, in my opinion, it worked absolutely perfectly. After a few months, some of the larger pieces started to slip away, but that doesn't…

Great strainer for all types of loose tea

I am a big tea lover and always have a variety of loose teas on hand. Some of them have larger particles and some can be quite good with smaller particles that are almost the size of dust. This strainer is great for tea of any thickness and I've never had a problem with bits getting into the cup. It's easy to fill, empty and clean, and it's sized to fit any cup. I have several colanders at home and this is my favorite! Like most people, I rely on honest product reviews to make my purchasing…

works great but avoid third party vendors

This product gets a lot of bad reviews but I wonder if everyone is reviewing the same product. I bought mine direct from Revain for $2.79 and not from Chinese third party sellers who sell them for $1. The product arrived in a plastic blister pack marked Prepworks. I've used it many times over the past month and it still looks great with no stains or rust. I also bought a similar product for $1 from a third party. Outwardly it is somewhat similar, but the build quality is noticeably inferior…

For years to come!: Teapots

This tea infuser is great for brewing loose tea. In fact, I bought my first tea ball from this company three years ago and only recently had to buy a new one because my daily use was causing the clamp to come loose. For under $5 I'd say a three year lifespan is pretty good! The reason I went back to this tea ball instead of just buying it from the grocery store is because of the metal grate. Regardless of the size of your tea leaves, you can brew tea without worrying about small pieces of your…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other sets

For the price if you are careful it lasts a long time and works well.

I bought this to keep in my camping backpack. Good. Rockclimbing. I bought it to make tea or coffee and didn't take up as much space as a coffee pot or French press. I see many other complaints about this item saying it is cheaply made or someone is having trouble sealing it. First, it is a very inexpensive item. It is so well made that it works without any problems. But. You can check the hinge part and make sure they are pressed against each other. From what I've seen after making 10 cups of…

Pay as little as possible for it

The product is one of 10 designs for making tea from tea leaves or crushed leaves. Sellers at prices of $2.50 (approximately) delivered the price at $5.00 or more. But after using it a few times, I felt like it wasn't worth $2.50 with shipping included. The reasons are: 1. The clasp that keeps it closed has several problems. It won't close if the two parts of the ball aren't perfectly aligned, and that doesn't help align them. If there is tea near the clasp, it will not close. If the wire (1)…
