They are strong and of good quality but still light. They need a bit more patience to align with the valve stem after installation compared to plastic/nylon caps which seem more tolerant of clumsy threading.

You know you want your bike to look good, even if you wear spandex and look like a superhero. My name will be Captain Muffintop. ha ha. These red caps add a touch of flair to your bike tires while protecting the valves. Appears to be very good quality. I have them on 3 bikes.

I am happy with it. They thread well, the plastic guy only seems to catch a thread and a half, they are fully engaged until they touch the ground. There even seems to be room for a valve inside. The anodizing is spotty, but since they get dirty quickly, that might not be a big deal. Very close to the factory cap.

Purchased as a replacement for the standard plastic caps on Presta valves that always crack if over tightened. They fit perfectly with the valves and have enough play. They also have a handle so they can be easily attached. I need to see how long they last or if they rust as there is metal to metal contact.

4 out of 6 bolts onto Presto stems on both of my Cannondale bikes. Maybe I could press on the other two, but they felt pretty tight and I didn't want to damage the stems. I'm still glad I bought them. They are a good upgrade and look great. Just don't expect all six to be good.

Great! I keep losing my plastic valve covers because they crack and fall off (probably from over tightening). These metal ones don't break and the color stands out. They also look great on my bike (matte black with red decals). I gave the addons to my friends. I don't expect to have to buy them again, but I would buy them again if I did.

Very impressed that they got to me within a day. I lost the black plastic cover and my racing bike looked incomplete! The plastic caps bounced, and when it flew off the back porch into the ivy, I knew I couldn't find it. These caps don't really bounce and are colorful, so I have a real shot at recovery if the same thing happens to Mr. Butterfingers. I have 6 too so who cares if I lose? I bought these Presta valve caps in case I lose them. The purpose of these caps is to protect complex valve parts from cleanliness. I don't use them to prevent air from leaking out of a valve, nor are they designed for that. Presta valves are a bit fragile, especially when compared to the more reliable Schraeder valves.
