Excellent quality and price

These lag screws are typical quality for grade 2 screws. From a bag of 50 using a 1/8" pilot hole in the wood for the fur frame I snapped two heads while tightening materials manually. These errors had more to do with the likely collision with the node than with the quality of the bolt. The failure rate is lower than I expected and is typical of the jobsite. I recommend using a pilot hole appropriate for your material, using an impact tool/gun to drive the bolt in before it hits the washer, and

Good to know, best in Fasteners

Zi Coated Screws: I've had no problems with these grommets when used in wood with proper pilot holes. Less than I can count, one arm lost its head under the torque. Every time because I did something I shouldn't have done. I use an impact driver unless the wood is soft, fragile, thin, or otherwise prone to cracking or chipping. In these cases, I use a regular adjustable clutch drill bit. I have not applied them to concrete, masonry or any type of sign.
