It worked on my Stanley garage door except the screws were too short but I was able to use the old Stanley screws. The tip that came with the kit did not fit the Stanley inner grip. I was able to salvage and use an old end stop from a Stanley kit, so I was able to use an old Stanley inner grip which is better than the one I ordered with the new T-handle. rob

After fitting this lock I found that nobody in town could duplicate the key. I went to a locksmith in Los Angeles who has about 500 different blanks hanging on the wall and he couldn't reproduce them. I even called prime-line and they gave me the manufacturer code and key code to return to locksmith to no avail - it was clearly the wrong code. I tried a Key Me computerized key cutting machine at a supermarket that claims to be able to duplicate any key and received an email from this company…

An exceptionally good buy. I bought 3 of these garage door locks from 3 different locations, all of them had to be replaced for different reasons. They were very easy to install. I found the square stem to be a lot longer than any other, but that wasn't a problem. Could you shorten them slightly if you wanted? On one pair I either had to enlarge the holes a bit or realign the holes, easy! All had the small bolts about 1/4 inch shorter, and even the ones I removed from the old locks were too…
