I needed gaskets that were supposed to be in the box but they weren't there. I believe it would have caught if the spacers/pads had been in the packaging.

Bought to fix a door latch but keep it up it didn't work. It was too much for a normal door which sucked because now I have to go out and spend more money.

This one perfectly replaced the original clasp for me. It is study and well built. If you just want the latch and not the entire assembly, you can't go wrong with this one. The price is great and worth it.

Used to replace a set of screws the homeowner screwed in to close the screen door (which ALWAYS opened with the wind and scared me to death when pushed against the porch wall banged!) Since installing this latch there will be no more blown screen door!

Replace the defective latch. It has a profile small enough to fit perfectly where it needs to be, and additional shims help adjust its position. I ended up not using spacers.

It's not aluminum as the title says - It's painted steel - I've used it to replace the exact same one that was a year old and rusted. I wanted aluminum because I knew it would last a lot longer. I am now assuming that this will last about a year.
