Large replacement wiper

This product works great. I took it out of the box and left it for a few days. I think the most important part of replacing a wiper is to completely clean the lane it's going into. I removed the shower door to get the job done. I noticed that the old wiper had "stepped" in the track. At each end of the chain, the chain was run into the windshield wiper. I created a tool to restore a slot in a track. After that, the new wiper entered smoothly. I also cleaned up any crap that had built up in the…

Product works great but usually needs trimming

I was amazed at the low ratings on this product. Yes, it curls and takes on an unwanted shape. The answer is to lay it out in the sun for a few hours and let it relax and return to its normal shape. This piece is 36 inches long and most shower doors do not need to be swept that long so part of it can be cut off and discarded if damaged. Also, these sweeps are usually too deep. I always have to cut off the bottom edge. Use your judgment, but you need the strip about 3/32 inch lower than the top…

Maybe I'm using these fake ones

I just bought a house and the shower stall didn't have a door brush so that must have been what I needed. I'm not sure if they have a learning curve or if I'm just a plumber (Mario, I'm not), but they have such a tiny tiny head that it's difficult to get them to do the trick. Luckily I had 3/4" which was too short but had a much wider head so I pushed them together so they were thick enough to stay in the doorway.
