I was very shocked when I received the package. Prismacolor is supplied in sturdy tin cans. The sheet metal housing bent and broke. Disappointed to say the least! Let's hope the pencils sharpen well and don't break! If only I could post photos! I don't see such an option on my page

I have tried many pencils and still do because I love to draw with graphite. Prisms were a favorite of mine that I continue to use and will return to. One of the things I noticed is a clear difference between classes/shades. So I tend to use a wider range with them than with some other sets. The prisms were consistent. They also become smooth for effective very light shading. They are comfortable to the touch and do not fade too quickly.

I have been using Prismacolor pencils for over 10 years. I read the reviews and was very surprised at how bad some of them are. The box I received does not have a label to tell if mine was made in the US or Mexico. They have a four-digit code and others suspect they are made in Mexico.
