Pro Art Spiral Sketch Book 4X6 Review

I bought this to start a visual journal and it's perfect. It's a good size and you can put a pen and pencil in the spiral to carry it around. At first I was sad that it would only be 80 sheets, but it's actually a lot. It's about an inch thick if that helps. This magazine is very good for its price.

I love this wonderful little sketchbook. Size 5 1/2" x 8" is ideal for quickly sketching out ideas and designs. It only has a small tip so it works with softer pens and crayons, but it's smooth enough to really swing with my Pigma Micron pens, which I use most of the time!

I initially ordered a Pro-Art sketchbook but the one I received was stamped "Premieré by Nicole" in gold foil. I have used many of these sketchbooks over the years and they are perfect for drawing or writing. The paper is bright white. The perforations make it easy and clean to remove each page. The spiral binding allows the book to be opened flat or folded so that the covers fit snugly together. I use a pen with a clip that fits into a metal spool and snaps onto it. My daughter was looking for a 4" x 6" spiral bound sketchbook (which is hard to find at this size) and we were very happy to find it, but we were very pleased disappointed when it arrived and the perforation (where you should be able to tear the page off the book and which should be next to the inside of the spiral so you can tear out the page and have a clean edge, not all the pieces of the spiral) was on the WRONG side of the paper. Exactly what I was looking for in a small sketchbook. Fits well in my pocket, love hard cases for protection. I think it's good that I can easily remove the sticker on the front, so the front cover is completely black, no annoying logos etc. There is a brand seal on the back cover, which I don't find intrusive, the sticker can cover it if it bothers someone enough.
