Good quality - runs small

This is my 4th set of boxing gloves. I had to replace a pair of old Fairtex leather gloves that were falling apart. These Pro Impact gloves are leather, the reviews are positive and the price is right so I ordered them even though I don't know the brand. I used these new gloves about 3 times a week for a month. So far my impression is that they are well made and I would order these gloves again. The only thing I would like to point out is that the cuffs are narrower than other gloves I've used.

As Good As Famous Brands

After reading one of the reviews and comparing it to a famous brand; I decided to try them. In the last 10 years I have bought gloves from other brands. It's easy to spend a lot of money on gloves. I use them 4-5 days a week for boxing, kickboxing and muay thai. I also paddle with a partner. This is how I get a lot of value out of any type of gloves. I needed something permanent as I know I will be using them a lot. I'm a 5'3" female and bought 16 oz. They seem big to me but I needed that size.

P-five stars? boxed

I bought these gloves, like many others, because of the sheer volume of 5 star reviews. When I received them they seemed a bit small/light for a 16oz glove. Haven't weighed them yet to confirm, I can only speak for the quality of these gloves. They are very well built. The seams and all seams are tight, the skin smells good. So far they have held up very well. I had no pain in my arm or wrist while using them. Definitely worth $60. Update: I downgraded these gloves to 3 stars. After regular…

Good value for money; good option for beginners

I can't comment on the durability of these gloves yet as I've only had them for a short time. I was pleasantly surprised at the good quality of these gloves when I first opened them from the box. They appear to be well made and the characteristic leather smell was immediately noticeable upon opening. They seem more suited to hitting the bag than sparring as they are fairly durable when new although well padded. They are easy to put on and take off. I have small and short fingers and they fit…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Poor repairability

Great gloves! - Other Sports

I did martial arts for 15 years and then pursued a career and stopped training. Years went by and after putting on the pounds I got bored and wanted to pick up my heavy bag training along with some cardio. This is the best training combination I know. So I set up my little training ground and then set about dusting off my old gloves. Unfortunately those gloves are gone. I had to buy new training gloves. I was vaguely familiar with the Pro Impact name and had never used their product before…

It's not always about big names: feeling good, looking good (beginner boxer)

I'll start off by saying that I've just started boxing. No cardio boxing classes at spas. I mean the real deal with a professional boxer as a trainer. I mentioned this because I walked away from reviewing some other commercial gloves and ended up buying what looked like toy gear (I won't name names but you might think the Bronx brand is synonymous with boxing, you'd tire of that ) . to call something so cheap, flimsy and poorly designed by its name). The reviewer used his gloves for the crunch…
