These aren't the ones you want.

Double locking as the handle sucks. They don't fit and are uncomfortable to wear. I wish I'd spent the extra $10-$20 on a set with nice grips. Making it almost impossible to get loose under the weight of the car. In their current form, they seem solid enough, but are just plain uncomfortable to use. .

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Well if you get good ones.

I'm pretty picky about devices that hold tons of steel above me. The first set had sketchy welds and joints. But he had enough promises that I sent them back for a replacement, not a refund. I'm glad I did because the second set was much better. The first set will be 2 stars. The second set will be 5. So I give 4 to cover the return problem.

A jack stand is not level on the ground. rock on two legs.

Single jack swings on two legs because it is not level with the ground. Welding from above looks doubtful. One of the posts does not fall free when the handle is fully raised; the teeth get stuck all the way. The paint is discolored with a yellow spot. In my opinion too light for 3 tons. Small color chips.

Poor welds and quality control

Very disappointed. The workmanship is excellent, they look very nice. But ultimately the structure in my book is not good. Poor welds that look like they were blown out by amateurs. I didn't even bother to move them more than 5ft from the package, I just rewrapped them and started returning them. As far as I know they would have lasted for many more years. However, seeing complete holes and gaps where a solid weld should be is not good for me, especially when several tons of steel are held over

Inconsistent quality and welds

These jack legs appear strong enough but the welds are patchy and appear to be of questionable quality due to porosity. Center column, ratchet and seat are fine, no defects. The center column fits snugly into the stand and locks securely into place. Both locking pins fit into their slots and effectively secure the B-pillar. The stands would be better if the welds were of good quality and the same between the two stands. The stand on the left may be missing a bottom weld at the top of the stand…

Very good and strong stands.

In my 69 years I have had many different stands and they are better than most. The materials are very good. The legs are heavy iron and the stand is heavy steel with very good welds. The paintwork is also very good, so whoever got the rusty set must have been lucky. (I can see his second sentence was fine.) What I really like about these coasters is the safety block or safety pin. This gives the user another layer of protection. If (unlikely) the adjustable stopper falls out of the slot in the…

God help us all. Especially for those of us with 22 year old sons

Have 4 of these. A must have if you build your own cars. Very durable and well built. and does not make it difficult to use in any way. My son works on his car here so using too many jacks is a must or none of my tools will be usable period!. He's 22, so it'll be at least 8 more years before he becomes a complete idiot, mostly endangering himself in the usual scenarios around the house and carport. If they sold a helmet and mouthguard as a set, I would buy 4 more of these tomorrow and have it…

Pair rated at 6,000 pounds

I have had a pair of 3 ton Pro Lift Racks for a long time. I can't remember where I put it, probably in one of the spares chains. This pair was operated together with a pair of 3 ton danger stands. Neither pair has given me any problems, although I'll confess I don't use them as often as I should. However lately I've been thinking more and more about security when working under something and I feel like the single lock style is beyond my imagination. Then just last week a truck fell on my…
