The cover is removed as if nothing had happened. Even if you twist it, it usually pops out. Otherwise it looks solid, but without a lid it's pointless.

The bottle is very thin and the lid breaks with every bump. I have to tape the lid on and after I put the hose in the canister there is very little room left for the CO2 cartridge or pressure gauge. Basically a waste of money.

For me it fits under the down tube on some bikes, making it easy to transfer tools from one bike to another. If you turn the lid too far, it just pops out. I would not recommend anyone to buy this. You can find better.

I've locked it under the downtube and done a few 100-mile cross-country gravel races, and the bottle holds up. The lid is securely attached. The foam insert prevents rattling, although it would be easier to add and remove content if the foam was a single piece rather than a rolled sheet.
