Works great around the house.

Definitely don't regret this purchase. It's much easier to move around the house in these little shoes. And I can drive with it compared to a big trunk. It doesn't hold my foot fully enough for long walks but manages to handle short walks. But still use a big suitcase when I do a lot of cleaning and moving in my house, especially in the store and so on. Putting the velcro on is a little tricky the first time, but I learned the best way to tighten it. I wear size 10 women's shoes and they fit…

Protects mum's toe Best in Foot Supports

Bought for my mum when she severely injured one of her big toes. GREAT protection! Every time she bumps into something, she bumps into a shoe, NOT a toe; So your toe is slowly but surely healing because it's not injured! A word of caution: it is easy to trip if you are not careful. The elongated "buffer" that protects the toe box can also cause a person to trip easily if the person does not lift their foot in time. My mother stumbled several times; However, as she learned to walk with an…

Lifeguard for my broken fifth metatarsal!

I broke my 5th metatarsal and the doctor put me in an Aircast boot. I was unhappy and started bruising my lower legs from walking. So I took a chance and bought this post-op shoe. It was a welcome relief. I try to stay in the boot as long as possible and use this shoe in my spare time. I use shoes to walk around the house, shower and sleep. I'm a size 9.5-10 and the medium fits perfectly. The shoes are wide to accommodate swelling and the long Velcro ankle straps can be shortened if needed…

Great for 5th metatarsal fracture

About 8 weeks ago I fractured the 5th metatarsal in my right foot. After getting everything cleared up by my doctor, I started making the transition from the hiking shoes I was in to boots. I bought another brand of hard soled post op shoes and it was terrible. I bought these shoes as a replacement and they are a million times better! I wear a women's size 9.5 or men's 8-8.5 and these shoes are about an inch longer than my foot (perfect for preventing toe curl!). The ankle strap is very long…

The front panel cannot be tightened enough to allow walking.

I'm active and strong (not even a senior yet) but I still can't get the velcro adjustable front panel tight enough or it would work well. The third type of orthopedic post-operative shoes I have used. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this option due to the impossibility of wrapping the forefoot tight enough to avoid slight slippage. A day later my foot was cramped on top and it took me four days to massage and stretch it. I've been wearing orthopedic shoes for two months as my broken 5th…

Pros
  • Stiff rocker outsole allows for easy movement and relieves pressure
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great product from Bruchprofis!

This product is great for broken toes or broken feet. This is a great transitional product from a cast or boot, although I immediately ordered shoes. I've had numerous "adventures" with foot surgeries, falls, etc. and broken my 5th metatarsal bone. I know the difficulties of carrying a heavy orthopedic boot for both the caregiver and the patient; They are uncomfortable to put on and take off, they are VERY heavy and it hurts to put your foot back in the boot. This shoe was MUCH better when it…

Pros
  • Square Toe acts as a buffer and provides extra room and comfort for your foot

Lightweight but well protected

I wore these ProCare shoes to protect a healing toe when I was indoors with little exercise. In fact, it is uncomfortable to walk in these ProCare shoes. Because the sole is like a flat wooden board. When I had to walk a lot, I preferred the AirCast boots because they have a better rocking motion of the sole. Not only was it my preference, my AirCast boots were recommended by my doctor as they offer better stability when walking than the ProCare. However, the advantage of this ProCare shoe is…
