Works great. Cut and insert into the filter. Quite easy. The shrimp and fish get excited and plan parades and music in the park when I put on a new one. Choose Carbon Queen, she rides a snail, good times. Yes, it keeps my water clear and clean, and I've used them in small tanks where replacement filters are like buying printer ink.

Very dense and dense material. Cut to size and install directly into existing filter systems. I like that it's pre-washed (a light rinse over the sink is still recommended), but I could use it alone for mechanical removal of fine and dense particles and chemical filtration as it's a pad with added carbon acts. This product is very easy to use. You simply cut out the size you want and place it where you need it. But no matter how many times I rinse or soak it before putting it in the tank, it releases massive amounts of black dust and lint everywhere. It becomes a chore when you have to constantly remove the tank decal to get rid of the black dirt everywhere.
