I ordered an OBD scanner on January 2nd 2018 - delivered on January 8th 2018. I have used it on a 2006 Mazda 3 with no problems. The OBD scanner does what the literature says: it reads and clears generic and manufacturer-specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and turns off the check engine light. The Check Engine Light (CEL) on my Mazda 3 came on a while ago before I got the OBD scanner. Looking at various YouTube posts, I was able to remove the CEL by disconnecting the battery's negative (-)
