This cape does not comply with the standard. This is a good material to use if you plan on cutting your hair at home, but I would NOT recommend it for a professional setting like a salon or hair salon. This is great value for non-professional use. Highly recommended for home hairdressers but not for professionals.

I had high hopes for this cape. The fabric is comfortable and light, cute, came quickly. However, I am returning it for three reasons (1) the neck is not adjustable. It's just "extensible". It is an elastic band and when fastened it fits snugly on my husband, 6ft, 170lbs, narrow neck. (2) The two ends of the rubber band must be closed with clips that fit into one another. However, both clips are built in the same direction, so you have to twist one side to close them, making the fit even…

The hair sticks to it more than I'd like, but there are a lot of variables that can affect this so I'm not overly concerned about that. I just washed it quickly and gently and hung it up to dry.
