Cumbersome on my review.

This was a little bigger than I was expecting. I hoped it would fit in a breast pocket, but no dice. The thing really is quite large. It doesn’t even comfortably fit in my jeans pocket, and when it does, the leather (faux?) sticks to my phone or my wallet and makes it even more awkward to remove. I guess if I busted out a ruler I would’ve seen my own folly, but here I am.Its a little awkward to flip the actual notepad inside’s cover to the back so you always open to a page, but that’s the…

Pros
  • ‎Clairefontaine
Cons
  • The black cover may be prone to fading or discoloration over time

Made With Fountain Pens In Mind

I write with a fountain pen, and I am always looking for small pads that are fountain pen friendly. I just switched to these pads in this holder to keep track of my business and medical mileage. I also use another of these little pads for taking or handing out small handwritten notes, admittedly a less common practice in today's world. The paper is perfect for fountain pens. I have no trouble with bleed through or feathering. I often turn the little pads sideways to write, but I use the 5x5 grid

Cons
  • The thickness of the paper may not suit all types of pens or inks

"Sturdy lightly-grained leatherette " means thin black styrofoam

While the notepad seems well and good, I purchased this product for the notepad holder and that is all I'm commenting on. Despite numerous reviews commenting on its extremely cheap quality, I thought perhaps "Sturdy lightly-grained leatherette" would at least be a cheap vinyl good enough to protect the thin pages of a jr. legal notepad. It's actually more of a styrofoam, slightly sturdier than the plastic shrink wrap it was shipped in.

Cons
  • The squared pages may be seen as too restrictive for some users

Disappointed With Quality

The material is made of vinyl. It feels like plastic, flimsy, and cheap. I expected better quality from Rhodia. I recommend purchasing the Lihit Lab A5 notebook cover instead, which is much more sturdy to write on.

Pros
  • Great notepad.
Cons
  • The black cover may show smudges and fingerprints easily

Very disappointed with the change in material.

I originally bought one of these about 3 years ago and it was great. It was made of a tougher-feeling vinyl (or something like that) and had a leather-grain appearance. It was sturdy and the "skin" was durable. I lost that pad holder on a flight and ordered this one. It is the same shape, size, and is cut in precisely the same way but the material is very different. It's very soft to the touch and flimsy. No more leather grain appearance. It is easily marred and scratched and doesn't…

Pros
  • Comes with a notepad which is A6/105 x 148 mm in size
Cons
  • The squared pages may not be suitable for those with visual impairments

Looks great, poor quality

My husband owned this for 2.4 seconds before it ripped. The materials are very thin, and when he put a slender pencil into the pen loop, the side of the thing ripped open.

Pros
  • ‎Premium Matte
Cons
  • The product may not be eco-friendly or sustainable

Great shirt pocket pad

Excellent. Pads enclosed are about the size of a short 3x5 card. Works well. Easily fits in man's shirt pocket. The squared pages may not be suitable for those who prefer to sketch or draw in their notebooks.

Pros
  • Paper finish: premium_matte
Cons
  • The squared pages may not be suitable for those who prefer to sketch or draw in their notebooks
