Great tool for your money.

Great value for money. Heavy, feels solid, well made and accurate (fits known measurements and my dad's 14" Chesterman caliper). Supplied with plastic case. Great for everyday heavy use in DIY wood and metal jobs - don't hesitate to toss it in your tool bag - Markings are sharp and clear but SMALL, hard to read (for me) in dim light but not a deal killer .

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Convenient, accurate measurements that don't require batteries!

Handy and NON-ELECTRIC caliper that measures both metric and imperial lengths and depths without batteries! about whose caliper was the best - and the batteries were easier to read, but it just happened that some ran out of batteries. and they borrowed mine. :) I'll admit it's a lot easier to use metric, but I'm almost always working in metric or something where the system doesn't matter, so I'm fine with that. Not as easy as with a battery, but it always works!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Terrible caliper handling

This is a non-digital caliper; I've seen reviews of battery powered calipers on this list, but this isn't it. It's not the easiest thing because instead of reading directly from the display, you really have to do some math. I have found that people's reluctance to do mental arithmetic prevents them from "borrowing" my calipers. When I received the package, it was initially an empty box. I contacted Revain and a few days later they sent me another one with the caliper and case. ++ for Revain…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
