Husband left the stove on and I had this on the socket next to him. Came home with a very strong smell of gas and doesn't look like he caught anything. He didn't read the gas leak at all. Useless.

We like having a propane gas detector as we have a propane gas heater in our house. What we don't like is that it runs on electricity only and we only use propane when we don't have electricity. I will look for another one that has a backup battery.

I intentionally turned the gas stove handle without fire and the whole kitchen smelled of gas and this machine never bothered! The only time it bothered me was when I put it straight on the stove and turned the knob. I've also posted this in various places but no luck.

I liked that the device was smaller. Most of the ones you see are big and ugly. This guy is spot on. Assembly. Can a cable be connected? That's all, and there's no cable: just bend the pins and connect. This can take 3 seconds. worth the peace.

this detector begins to give false readings, from time to time it works for no reason. My plumber used his scan detector and everything was fine. The device says it has a 2 year warranty. Purchased November 2019. When trying to share the feature, you can't continue, says it's no longer supported.

I installed this at ceiling level in my kitchen just before installing a new gas range. The technician who installed my oven's gas line caused a small gas leak while installing the oven and the alarm went off fairly quickly. It was quite loud, loud enough that I could easily hear it in another room, although I might not have heard it if I was down in the basement. I'm happy with it so far, but have only had it installed for a week or so.

I have this in my RV over my gas stove. So far, so good. This device worked well for many months until it broke. Woke me up in the middle of the night with a reading of 5. I have two other 200 square foot gas detectors and they didn't come on. I disabled this to try and reset it. Plugged it in two different places and it wouldn't stop turning off.
