PTC F218 Transmission Filter Kit Review

The bottom is metal and the top is hard plastic. Filter and gasket look good. Supplied without an O-ring, which must be replaced every time the filter is changed.

Fast delivery. The transmission seal and filter were of good quality. The gasket and transfilter fit perfectly in the pan. I used a small black Permatex oil pan gasket to make sure it was tight. So far so good and very satisfied. Thanks very much!

Although the gasket looks like paper/cork in the picture, it is a rubberized gasket. I previously bought a BTP kit based on higher ratings, but the gasket didn't work and the inner filter paper was torn. This set is better. I am very satisfied and would like this to be represented more by reviews. Try it, you won't be disappointed. My car is a 2012 Toyota Corolla.

This is a quality product. I was impressed. The filter was strong, metal, looked like a factory filter and stood up with no problem. The rubber seal is also of good quality. It was thick and flat, without a single stain. Installation was easy. I didn't use any glue and it stuck perfectly to the drain pan. And it spins with no problem. It would be more convenient if they included an o-ring, although the o-ring is attached to the side of the gearbox. I've checked the gearing and it's not leaking,

Rubber seal without cork. I bought this PTC filter after reviewing them online through their website. They claim their "cork" gasket is original or better than original and seals many trans pallets considering I'm using a new pallet. . I hope Revane takes a look at her Korkliner photo. The cork doesn't let the rubber through, and with a rubber gasket it's a nightmare, especially draining liquid that's on your back. Maybe some jack of all trades reading this and thinking installing a toilet…
