Sink arrived in great condition and looked fantastic until we started using it. It has only been installed for 1 month and is scratching at an alarming rate. Scratches look gray, white varnish doesn't look very strong. The kitchen sink gets a lot of use and I don't think it's the best material for durability. Wow, we finally installed it, it's just beautiful. I love it very much and it was packaged very well, no problem, I ordered 2 and gave one to my daughter-in-law. It has not yet been installed. It's very heavy so you'll need a carpenter to build a shelf to stand it on. I bought a stain free metal shelf as seen in other reviews of other products. Overall this is a nice sink that arrived quickly and was well packaged. However, it advertises chip and smudge resistance, but it doesn't. He got a chip in the bowl the first day. It was used a day before the chip was received - nothing out of the ordinary has happened, it's not even remotely chip resistant in my opinion. Bought a 33" size to install our new kitchen, having recently moved to a new one (1960's split foyer). My contractor said he was having trouble installing the sink because our vanity cabinet didn't have a front cutout for it. He also had to make a shelf for such a large sink it worked great! We loved our Houzer sink when we installed it. This is a very inexpensive farmhouse sink and looks beautiful. But after installation, we immediately noticed that the floor has almost no slope, so all the leftovers of food, coffee grounds, etc. remain on the entire floor of the sink.
