Also known as a tile saw pump

As advertised. Here it serves as a replacement for the tile saw. The OEM was the same Pulaco, this is a fraction of the price of pumps marked Tile Saw. You don't have to deal with a broken pump. For the price you buy 2. I lift the water about 2 feet from the pan. It offers more than enough flow at the lowest settings.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Good but not great

very durable, resists sand and dirt

works great. very strong, but you can turn it off. I put sand in my tank and it turned into a muddy mess, this pump didn't care about the sand and worked great. Other pumps/filters I've had are very sensitive to fine sand particles getting into the mechanisms (grind loudly or just stop working). This little pump suffered from very muddy sand water but still runs silently and works 100% like new. It's also small so you can get creative and hide it or turn it into a decoration.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Without machine

Perfect fit for my blind dog

I've been looking for something like this for a very long time. Noelle lost her eyesight a few years ago due to health problems. She has trouble finding water as she has lost her eyesight. Tried water fountains for dogs but no luck. They're either not loud enough, or too small, or too narrow, or too expensive, and most importantly, keeping their water pristine is impossible. If I don't drink from it, I won't give it to her. It's absolutely perfect. The pressure of the fountain is fully…

Excellent value for money

Runs in shallow water and moves water well for its size. Does what it should. Tip: If you accidentally drag the pump above the water level, it will stop pumping. You must turn off the water and re-immerse yourself for the pump to start circulating again. Excellent for this money. Another thing, when I got my pump in the mail, the hose that came with it was stuffed into the tiny box along with the pump. Being a soft hose, it was kinked in all the places where it needed to be bent. To get rid of…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Legacy model

Small in Water Pumps

This is a very, very small pump for a very tight application. Personally, I use it to water nanotanks (3 gallons and under) for which it works well. The stated flow rate is in practice a complete lie (not surprising), but the competitor's 58 gph consumption figure is probably correct. Remember this means sitting around for 10 minutes to drain 10 gallons. It doesn't have much head height, probably only 2-3 feet before it just oozes. The cruise control works well but requires little effort to…

Get to Work - Aquarium Pumps and Filters

This pump was giving me a headache. Trying to generate a constant current is nearly impossible. It's really spastic. One minute it's flowing, the next minute it's being ejected with great force, the next minute the flow isn't even high enough for water to flow through this tabletop fountain, and all you hear is the sucking, spouting noise of reflux. Several times a day I have to adjust it, change the water that splashes over the table, and constantly mop up the mess. I am extremely…
